Plan the Purrfect Game Night with this Huge List of Cat-Themed Games

Use this extensive list of cat-themed games to find the purrfect one for your next game night. - SahmReviews.com

A couple weekends ago, we decided to take Tink to the local farmer’s market. Amidst the “Oh, how adorable” comments were many others about how small she was as well as questions about what breed she is. The comical part is how many times we heard people say they thought we were walking a cat.

Cats really aren’t our thing though. Madison is allergic (whew) so when days like “National Hug Your Cat Day” roll around, we limit our feline interaction to games centered around the colorful creatures. A couple years ago we saw a rising trend in cat-themed games and featured Cat Tower, Here Kitty Kitty, Kitty Paw and Tem-Purr-A. These games are a purrfect addition to our game collection and great for celebrating National Hug Your Cat Day (June 4th) or National Cat Day (October 29th) in a way that doesn’t have anyone sneezing! Since that time, we’ve discovered several new cat-themed games along with reminders of a few older titles. Check these out and you’re sure to find some that will have you feline fine!

  1. Love these! We are big cat fanatics here (despite all of us being allergic! Thank goodness for allergy meds and immunotherapy). We already have Cat Crimes, both the NSFW version and the regular version of Exploding Kittens, and Feed the Kitty. I want to add in Cobra Paw and Purrlock Holmes soon.

  2. I did not know about all these cat or kitten holidays, but I’m not surprised! There seems to be a holiday for every thing! I can’t keep up! I don’t need a holiday or a reminder to love, hug or treat my cat good – I do that everyday!

  3. Wow, I didn’t know there were that many cat games, I started looking at some of these and love the 8 out of 10 Cats board game. It looks exciting. Love some others too. So many, I have to look at each one so I can get some to add to our collection.

  4. We hug our cat everyday! As a matter of fact, if she doesn’t get hugged the way she likes, she will nudge us and bug us until we do! I asked my husband if he knew of a National Hug Your Cat Day. He said that he didn’t and neither did two of my daughters, who are huge cat lovers and have a couple each.
I did like a few of the cat games, like
Felicity The Cat in The Sack
CoolCats & AssHats – (Adult Drinking Card Game for Parties)
Roar: King of the Pride strategic board game
    Thank you for sharing!

  5. When I saw the name of the game Kittens in a Blender, I thought the people who created this game are twisted. I can’t believe you actually want to put these adorable kittens in a blender! Appliances are dangerous! Especially a blender! We have to save them.
Otherwise, what would my Kitty think of me!
I have to go find her now and hug her!! MEOW

  6. I collect cat-related games, and this list is even bigger than I expected! Looking forward to collecting more.

  7. I am/have always been a cat person! But, I had no idea about these holidays and adorable games! Yippee!

  8. I am a cat person, so several of the games here would be fun for me to play. Thank you for the thematic overview.
