A Rubik’s Cube for the Rest of Us

Disclosure

Last year at the Chicago Toy & Game Fair we met Dane Christianson of Moving Parts, LLC and his brand new product, the X-Cube. This year Dane was in attendance again and not only brought the X-Cube, but another recently-finished product. Something for those of us that can’t even begin solving his first puzzle would appreciate! More on that in a bit.

The X-Cube is a variation of the 80’s hit product, Rubik’s Cube. Instead of a 3x3x3 cube, the X-Cube uses a 3x5x5 design variation to not only create a much harder puzzle to solve, it is one that doesn’t retain its original shape when mixed up.

Each turn of the ‘cube’ takes you farther away from the “X” shape you began with. In some instances the odd configuration helps you determine what-goes-where, but in other cases it just confuses you further.  Just take a look at what you’re up against!

Are you feeling a little dumb intimidated by now? Then I have the perfect solution! We hinted about this new cube last year, and sure enough – it now exists! I present to you, the Boob Cube!

Yes, that is exactly what you think it is:  the world’s easiest cube puzzle. With only one rotating axis, there are only four possible combinations. If you cannot solve this version, then there is truly no hope for you!

Wouldn’t this be the ultimate puzzle gift for yourself or family member that gets headaches just looking at a Rubik’s Cube? You can find it on Amazon for under $10 shipped, but act quickly as inventory is very limited. Then pick up an X-Cube for the serious puzzle-hound while you’re at it.

Follow Moving Parts on Facebook and Twitter as I’m sure this won’t be the last you hear of them. We have to wonder which end of the spectrum they will target next!

  1. How fun to have a different rendition of the Rubik’s cube. I sure lvoed mine back in the day, I bet the kids would love an introduction to one too.

  2. Wow! This X-Cube is really cool. I can see how it could be a very difficult puzzle to solve. I don’t know if I’d be good at it but I bet my husband would like it. I like the great price on it too! A perfect stocking stuffer!

  3. My brother in law is one of those crazy people that can solve a Rubik’s Cube in minutes. I definitely need something much much easier so the Boob Cube would be perfect!
