Revenge on the Zombies!
Miss M and Miss K are so dramatically different. One likes gadgets, electronics and zombies. The other likes dolls and princesses and taking care of nature. I often mention how we regularly see movies… Animated movies, aliens, science-fiction, superheroes and action. We aren’t afraid to take them to PG-13 movies but we are careful about which ones. If it is something unrealistic like aliens we know it’s okay because they are mature enough to know it is just a story. We took them to see World War Z last year and were surprised at the reaction. Miss M loved it while Miss K said it gave her nightmares. Miss M wanted to take a summer camp course entitled Zombie Apocalypse. Miss K wanted nothing else to do with zombies.
Until she received K’NEX Plants vs Zombies Wild West Skirmish set. THOSE kind of zombies are perfectly okay. Especially when you get to shoot them and knock them over. First you have to put them together so you CAN knock them down.
In true K’NEX fashion as they have done with the other K’NEX sets before this, they set off to assemble it. Working toward one end goal has been a good experience for our girls. They take turns reading the instructions and putting the pieces together.
When it comes to assembling these sets they share when there are multiples of one type. They divide those pieces so each can put together some.
The only difficulty they had was with the actual zombies. One of the features is to attach them to the platform so you can shoot them back off when you are playing.
They couldn’t get the zombies to stay in place. That caused a lot of frustration with them but once I helped them they were fine. Once the entire set was assembled and put in place, the zombies didn’t stand a chance. I think Miss K took out all her zombie anger on those little K’NEX figures! Revenge on the zombies!

Which will you cheer for the plants or the zombies?
Kids get to have such great toys, all I had was lego blocks! What is it with Zombies? This looks like your kids were having great fun. Thanks for sharing.
I will be cheering on the Plants thank you very much! I can’t watch zombie movies to this day without having a couple of nightmares.
Kids have the best toys ever I want to play.
My daughter is a Jeff Gordon fan so she would love K’nex #24 Drive To End Hunger Car Building Set

My kids loved construction toys like this and would work cooperatively. Their play room (ex dining room) would gradually fill up with their creations until there was no room left. It was only then that we’d clean up so they could start something new.
I didn’t know that K’Nex made sets like this. They’re too cute!
Oh I am seriously so in love with this set! My kids just love Plants Vs Zombies!
That is soooooo cute! They did a great job of bringing Plants vs. Zombies to life. Looks super fun!
Ahhh!
So much fun!
🙂
Looks a potential new zombie flick….World War of the Roses vs. Zombieland!
My one son is in his 20’s, in fact I can remember when K’Nex came to the United States (he was a bit young to use them at that point in time.) I’m glad to see they are very much alive and well. I would always root for zombies. I loved the World War Z book.
We are big fans of Roary. We need the Lincoln Logs and Mario Kart.
I guess I don’t have a favorite! I like them all!
Plants vs. Zombies is a game a lot of kids love, this looks perfect for them!
My kids actually play the video game, I had no idea there was a Knex set as well. I’m sure they would enjoy this too. Thanks for the giveaway.
This is awesome! I’m trying to get my daughter into building blocks and K’Nex right now…I try to sell it as “3D Minecraft”. We’ll see if it works!
My son loves the Super Mario 3D Set from Knex.
