I’ve been noticing a lot of people on Facebook participating in those “tell me something about yourself” posts. There have been a variety of these floating around, but lately the most common is some version of a question asking for something unique that you think none of your friends have done before. I don’t feel like there are many unique things that none of my friends have done, but growing up and having beehive related chores is possibly one. I used to love cranking the extractor, a giant barrel that used centrifugal force to remove the honey from the comb. It was the best honey, and certainly the freshest, I’ve ever had. Yes I have. There was a bee hive in my tree.
I’ve had fresh honey and I’ve seen them at nature centers. Being allergic to bees I try and keep a safe distance! LOL!!

Yes to both. Have seen fresh honey being harvested in asia and then tried the honey in tea. Very nice.

My Grandpa raised Bees and I have seen them in nature . Nothing compares to natural raw Honey .
We allowed beekeepers to keep their hives at the farthest edge of our Manitoba farm. I got a good look at them occasionally; but, not too closely of course.

When I was growing up our neighbors were beekeepers. I’ve actually helped them harvest honey. 🙂
