My favorite thing for both these games is the one on one interaction and also being able to distract the other player’s moves.
My least favorite part of chess is the abstract nature of it. I’m just one of those people that needs a stronger theme, even though i do very much value mechanisms, meaningful choices and strategy. I’ve just never been able to quite get invested in chess.
