2016 Gift Guide: Stocking Stuffers
We love candy. Who doesn’t? But when it comes to the holidays, it’s always more fun to get some pint-sized gifts in our stockings. That special little nugget of fun that is mixed among the candy and fruit. (Yes, we like it when Santa leaves fruit in the stocking!) But aside from that, it’s always fun to find stashes of gifts hidden among the tree branches.
A lot of times, the stocking becomes the after-thought and we just don’t think that’s right. It is just as important as what is going under the tree! For that reason, we’re featuring Stocking Stuffers as our second gift guide for the 2016 holiday season.
Our first gift guide included ideas for games for the family and we’ll have future guides as well. This list of Stocking Stuffers will offer gift ideas for various individuals on your list – with ideas for all ages. As a parent of a teen and tween, I recognize the difficulty in finding the right “small” item! Hopefully this list helps relieve that!
Over the next few weeks we will publish guides with games, toys, home items, electronics and more. If you see the logo, click on it to be directed to an in-depth review!

Gift Cards
Their Favorite Restaurant or Retailer
This may seem like an impersonal gift, but that’s only if don’t put any thought into it. A $5 gift card to a favorite restaurant or retailer is a gold mine to a child. Being able to buy “whatever they want” – like a hot chocolate with lots of whipped cream when mom is getting her daily coffee – is a joyous feeling. For older kids and adults, a gift card to an ice cream parlor or coffee shop is always appreciated. Pick up a multi-pack of small denominations and spread the love. These make ideal gifts for teachers and bus drivers!
These compact items make nice additions to stockings or are great for friends, neighbors or coworker gift exchanges. They offer a big impact in a small package! Again, look for the tiny logo on titles that we’ve previously given a full preview. Be sure to keep an eye out for most of these items to show up in our 100+ Days of Giveaways.
