Stock Up So You Can Get Out

Not much longer and we will have a steady stream of warm weather. Not this funky bipolar stuff that Mother Nature has been giving us. It’s April and we have snow in the forecast. How crazy is that?

Scott and I work from home and lousy weather usually keeps us stuck inside with the exception of errands for the kids. A trip to the store may be drab for some people, but the store is a much needed relief for cabin fever. Once the warmer weather hits, our schedules change dramatically. We get outside, work in the garden or yard, clean the garage, detail the cars or go for a run. The store is not a priority. It’s inside and after too much shut-in time, I want to be outside doing… anything.

Translation: Time to stock up on household goods, personal hygiene products and cleaning supplies. When I’m able to match up a sale with coupons or even shop directly from home, I’m going to do it! As luck would have it, the April Stock up and Save Event is happening at Walmart! It features quality name brand products that are regulars in my arsenal so stocking up will be easy and I’ll even save some money!

Not only was I able to stock up on some of my favorite household brands including Tide, Bounty, Dawn and Crest, now I won’t have to take valuable time to go when the weather gets nicer. These are the items included in the promotion and when I paired it with the coupons, I saved even more!

As I’ve said before, sometimes the brand does make a difference and sometimes mom knows best. That’s how I fell in love with Cascade in the first place. But other products I’ve discovered on my own and have incorporated into our everyday lives when traveling or making something like Mason Jar Milkshakes.

With the April Stock Up and Save Event, I was able to take advantage of great prices and as I mentioned before, even matched several coupons. I wasn’t the perfect thrifter though because I missed out on one promotion! Had I realized Ibotta would be running a promotion starting today, I would have saved even more! Not familiar with Ibotta? It’s an app that offers cash back bonuses for specific purchases. It’s easy to use and doesn’t cost anything except the time to scan the barcode to make sure you have the correct product in your shopping cart. I’ve been using it for a few years and have been able to earn a few extra dollars here and there. It was harder in the beginning when only certain stores were available but they’ve since expanded their network and it’s even better!

We’re actually big on stocking up on just about everything so we can just get into it (whatever “it” might be) and move on. We buy a little extra each time we go to the store so that we always have a running supply. I can tell you right now, this blog post is totally right, stocking up is the only way to go!

It is definitely time to stock up on all my favorite household items, especially those razors! I have let my supplies dwinde too low and need to get those coupons in hand and make a run to the store.

I am huge on stocking up whenever we can! With three kids we can go through toilet paper, paper towels, and dish soap fast!!! I need to get there and stock up before the deals are gone!

I stock up on these items all the time. I have a family of 3 and we go through all of these on a regular basis. These are great deals!

I stock up on tide a lot. We do so much laundry it’s really necessary and I adore tide. I need to stock up on everything else, we go through so much of everything!
