Morning Routine with Vitamin C Serum

Morning Routine with Vitamin C Serum

Disclosure

As I’ve gotten older I have conceded to the fact that I need to treat my skin better. I have never been one to maintain a good skincare regimen but it has never been a concern because I use minimal amounts of makeup and don’t sunbathe. Unfortunately, I don’t look like a spring chicken and have accepted the fact that I have been doing wrong by my skins all these years.

A few years ago I started using age-defying lotions off and on. Since then, I’ve done better about incorporating them into my routine. My preference is for products that can go on underneath my makeup. My latest find, Azure Naturals ULTIMATE VITAMIN C Skin Repair Serum, allows me to do just that.

Having previously used various types of lotions and creams, this is my first foray into serums. I wasn’t sure what to expect but when I read “Vitamin C Serum” I hear “syrup” in my head. Honestly, I was pretty sure it would be a sticky, messy product. Thank goodness I was wrong! The consistency was very similar to the essential oils I had recently discovered. Not only was it not sticky, but it absorbed (or dried) much quicker than the age-defying lotions and anti-wrinkle creams I had been using. It applied easily and with only required a minor alteration to my routine. I used to shower, comb my hair then finish with makeup. Now, I apply the serum after showering then comb my hair. By the time I am done with that, my skin is ready for makeup. It’s such a minor change that it doesn’t even phase me.

Natural is in the name. Ingredients support it. Treat your skin right with Azure Naturals Ultimate C Skin Care Serum - SahmReviews.com #beauty #skincare

From reading some of the ingredients (Organic Herbal Infusion, Organic Aloe, Vitamin E, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin), it’s apparent that Azure Naturals focuses on products true to its name: Natural. I did notice it contains witch hazel, a product that I’ve used in the past to control breakouts. The package advertises vitamin c serum but it really contains a combination of ingredients to aid in healthy skin.

As I used the product, I didn’t notice a huge change in my skin’s appearance. As I reflect on it, I realize I haven’t had as many minor breakouts since adding it to my morning routine. The ease of use along with the fact that I haven’t has as many breakouts are the main reasons I would recommend trying this. The price of under $20 on Amazon is a bonus!

I haven’t tried the Vitamin C serum yet for wrinkles. I have a ton of them that are getting worse as I type this. Getting old is no fun!!
I use a lot of different things on my face and am still searching for that fountain of youth.

  2. I’ve heard that Vitamin C is great for many things. I’m especially interested in how it helps to ward off colds and getting sick.

I have the same feeling about serums…but I did try out one not to long ago–the change was subtile but over a longer period of time I did notice more.

I have yet to try a serum. Of course I have tried various creams and lotions. I have ti be really careful since I have a tendency to be allergic to the strangest things-and a lot of them “natural”.

I’m a big user in essential oils and serums. Some work better than others and of course is different for each person.

  6. This is a very good review Nicole. I definitely learned something new today about Vitamin C serum. Thank you for sharing.

  7. My skin is freaking out the last few years, but I think it has more to do with internal health than with my age. I don’t do much for my skin either though. I’ll keep this in mind for when I’m ready to actually step up my skin care regime.

  8. Nicole, I am stopping by from the Cast Off Blog FB page.

I am always looking for the next great product to combat signs of aging. I like your comment about serum=syrup. When I think of serum I think THIN. So I know it won’t be to thick or creamy.
I love the design of your site BTW!
I look forward to connecting with you!
