Usually we like telling you about a product that we find useful, well built or of good value. Today is no different. But instead of only highlighting one product, I’d like to introduce you to a company that I think you’ll be hearing more of in the future – Tego.

As a comparison, Apple products are not the most advanced out there. But they have great design. Pleasing to the eye, easy to learn and use and a style that doesn’t go out of style. I’m seeing the same in these two items I got to play around with from Tego. First up, a Bluetooth speaker.

You've probably never heard of Tego. But if all of their future products end up as nice as these are, you will! - SahmReviews.comThis is the Cera Portable Wireless Speaker. Some might say it looks like an egg timer. It reminds me of a character off of Wall-E, specifically Eve. You know I’m right. She even glows!

Now you won’t get ear-crushing volume or heart-pumping bass out of something this small, but if you want something to fill the room with sound from your phone, this one fits the bill nicely. The top raises up, allowing the sound to escape in every direction. Set it on the counter and you’ll hear the music everywhere in the room.

You've probably never heard of Tego. But if all of their future products end up as nice as these are, you will! - SahmReviews.comThis model is almost perfect when it comes to portable speakers like this one. You can connect wirelessly or wired and you have full control over your device (including volume and skip forward, back, etc.). The only hiccup was on our demo unit the skip forward/back controls were reversed. I’m assuming a manufacturing error, so we just turned it around (as shown above) and now forward was on the right and reverse on the left as it should be.

The Cera is currently available in a number of colors on Amazon or directly from Tego Audio. See what else they have to offer by following their audio channels on Facebook and Twitter.

But unlike many other companies in this market, Tego is not a one trick pony! We also were fortunate to examine a fantastic product from Tego Power: the Power Grid.

You've probably never heard of Tego. But if all of their future products end up as nice as these are, you will! - SahmReviews.comWe’ve seen portable battery solutions in the past, but this aptly-name power source is the king. A whopping 4200mAh means you can charge not just one device, but TWO high-drain devices like smart phones and iPads. AT THE SAME TIME!

You've probably never heard of Tego. But if all of their future products end up as nice as these are, you will! - SahmReviews.comAnd you aren’t limited to one brand either.  Thanks to the two standard USB ports, you can charge nearly any device that uses a USB cord. The Power Grid even comes with its own USB to micro USB cable that doubles as both the cable to recharge the battery and one that you can use on a device that has a micro USB port.

Again, great design here is evident with the textured surface and embedded LED lights that notify you of battery level and activity.

But if all of their future products end up as nice as these are, you will! - SahmReviews.comFive LED’s shine through the rubber surface letting you know when the battery is full (or empty). All of this packed into a case about the size of a deck of playing cards (and about the same weight). Charge it up when you travel so you’re never out of juice when you need it! Their use of only the highest quality Grade A Lithium Polymer batteries means you will enjoy many recharges and will probably outlast whatever devices you are charging on it.

Available in four different colors, if you need portable power, look no further. This is the one. Tego Power maintains their own social channels, so keep on top of their offerings on Facebook and Twitter!

Rarely have we found a company that is in multiple markets with good products in both of them. Typically it is a case of “Jack of all trades, master of none.” That is definitely not the case here. Tego seems to know both markets, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next! Look out Apple!

  1. Sounds like a great company. I do love that it has a Blue Glo Light. Perfect for listening to music when you want to relax with the lights dim but not completely dark. I think I need the Power grid for when I travel. You can’t rely on being able to Plug-in at the airport before you board the plane.

  2. I have a portable charger that charges 2 devices at the same time, but it’s just black and plain. Yours is much cuter.

  3. i love the way the speaker looks. it is so stylish and i could use it as an art piece anywhere in the house.

  4. Oh that DEFINITELY reminds me of Wall-E! 🙂 cute. I am putting these two on my “gift ideas for dads” list b/c I NEVER know what to get people but this is PERFECT! TY! I am going to rock the gift giving scene this summer (lots of bdays, not to mention Father’s day!)

  5. I haven’t heard of this brand before, but their products look so cool. I know that my husband and son would love these!

  6. I have never heard o Tego before but they look super cool! My kids would absolutely love to have the Cera Portable Wireless Speaker.

  7. Looks like an awesome speaker! My daughter likes to use speakers like these to play music through the house while she is doing chores.

  8. Wait, it charges two things at once? I need, need, need this… Plus, it looks really cool. We are huge lego fans and this would go with our decore

  9. Both of the products you reviewed sound great, and based on just these two, it seems like this company has good design in its genes. Thanks for the preview of things to come!

  10. Thank you for the post. Power bank indeed a must have gadget on this technology age. My document bag always load with a smart phone, tablet, camera and a laptop, i really need the portable power source on the go.

  11. I have each of these coming my way. Looking forward to seeing how the Power Grid handles my iPad 4 and GS3 simultaneously. The Cera looks pretty cool. Hope it sounds as good as it looks.

    1. Our photo shows an iPad 4 and a GS5, so yours will be fine. Check out the controls on your Cera – I’m curious if ours was a factory mistake of it they’re all designed that way (with the controls seeming backwards).
