When I first started playing modern games, I was introduced to deck builders. My first experience with the genre didn’t go well, but then I discovered Star Realms from Wise Wizard Games. That’s when I realized that you have to give games – and genres – a second chance if you didn’t enjoy yourself the first time around. That’s one of the reasons we added the Star Realms Box Set to our card and dice game gift guide. It’s just a great game. If you aren’t familiar with Star Realms, read our overview. More players, more fun! But I would play either way.

Given the pandamic/lockdown situation, for now I would be more likely to play head-to-head.

I generally play 3 or 4 players with my children. Head-to-head is good too! My deck is well-worn because of my oldest son and his friends.

I am not familiar with it. I would likely play head to head since I can usually only get one person to play games with me but I would love to play with more.

Star Realms is new to me, I’m more likely to play to play head-to-head.

I’ve never played it, but two-player would be the most likely setup for me….

I’ve only played Star Realms once with four players (as a 2v2) but would like to do so again.

Since I have never played this game, I would play with as many players were around at that time.

Although more players sounds fun, I think I’d prefer just 2 – there could be a lot of “ganging-up” on a player to turn the tide.

I did play it with more players, but just the base game. Maybe co-op or the additional pieces would be nicer, but the base game to me is better with 2 players
