Holiday Giveaways 2020 – My Fairy Garden: Fairy Light Garden by PlayMonster
I may not have a green thumb, but that doesn’t mean I cannot try to grow a plant here or there. I love having herbs as well as fresh tomatoes and feel these things encourage the kids to eat healthier. My Fairy Garden: Fairy Light Garden is a toy but also a plant! We included it in our gifts for younger kids and think it’s a great way to introduce them to gardening! PlayMonster has provided one of these fun toys as a prize so enter to win!
I was young, really young, I remember growing a flower from a seed, don’t remember what it was, and my Mom would set me up on the counter and help me check the dirt and let me water it when I could barely even hold the mini watering can.
When I was just a little kid, our neighbors (who were as close as family) had a garden and reserved a patch for my sister and me. I grew pinto beans (with their help, of course)!
I honestly don’t remember. I’m pretty sure I was a young kid.
I helped with our garden growing up. Mainly pulling weeds. I distinctly remember a daddy long legs crawling down over my face once while I was weeding. lol
I had a garden this summer and I take care of my houseplants.
I was helping my grandmother in her garden as far back as I can remember.
Probably plant one this summer, since we just bought a house….
I helped my dad in the vegetable garden when I was young .
I had plants in my first apartment with my husband.
I was about 7 years old, some 57 years ago, I remember helping my mom and my girl friend’s garden. We planted cucumbers and onions. My girlfriend’s family planted tomatoes and radishes and carrots
The tomatoes were awesome!! We had to fight off other little animals from eating our carrots.
I think when I had my own apartment.
I’ve been working in a garden ever since I was a small child, helping my mother.
This summer.
I helped with our garden growing up and now my kids do the same
I think I was around 9 or 10. It was a very long time ago!
I think I did this when I was a teenager.
When I was a teenager I used one of my first paychecks to buy a large tropical plant to have in my room.
I haven’t gardened since I helped out my parents as a kid, but I’d like to try again at my own home.
I remember growing those tickle plants in grade school. They move when you touch their leaves I remember thinking they were so cool. Prob age 6.
year round
Gardening was fun. I had a stroke so I look at gardens and am in awe at the produce it provides. Always grateful to receive a few vegetables from landlords garden in the summer.
I have taken care of plants since I was very young. My grandparents always had a garden and we loved to plant everything and we love to work in our yard.
My first time taking care of a garden was early in my childhood. My parents grew a “truck patch”. We always had rows and rows of vegetables to take care of. I planted, watered, hoe’d weeds and harvested. This was throughout my entire childhood. Then we canned in jars and canned for the freezer. I look back and at that moment, I wasn’t always happy to be doing it, but now, I realize what a blessing it was.
I remember helping my grandpa letting me plant some flower and vegetable seeds in his garden as a little girl.
