Root Game Giveaway
A couple weeks back, I told you about a unique style of game – an asymmetric board game where everyone has different winning conditions. Root from Leder Games is unlike what many of our non-gaming readers are used to while simultaneously elevating the playing field for people who regularly play games. We were super excited to include it in our holiday gift guide filled with games for teens and adults.
Then I found out they sold out. Understandably so because it’s a REALLY good game with a lot of options to change it up which gives it longevity. We’re sorry if we got you all excited about buying it for the teen or adult gamer in your life but missed out. At least we have one to give away while you wait for Root to show up on Amazon again! I’ve always been somewhat partial to cats, so “Marquise de Cat”
I’ve already tried being the Birds, and I really liked it. Next, I want to try the woodland alliance.

I’m gonna say Vegabond but I haven’t had the chance to play ROOT yet. I would definitely want to try all the characters at some point though. Everyone plays a little differently, so it would be nice to see it from different perspectives!

Having never played the game it’s hard to tell which of the characters would be the most fun…but I would probably start off by playing one of The Alliance / Woodland Animal characters. From what I have read they seem to play an amusing role.

The cat! I’m rooting (bad pun intented) to try this game!
The artwork makes it look deceptively simple but I hear it’s quite an involved and challenging game to master.
Definitely the bandit… looks like too much fun to mix it up!
