Today is Madison’s last day of Junior High. In a couple short months she will officially be a high school student. With each day, I continue to see changes in how she presents and expresses herself from head to toe. A month or so ago she made the decision to change her hair style. She cut several inches off and had it layered.
Each day she decides whether to wear makeup and doesn’t let the latest trends in fashion dictate what she chooses to wear. Perfectly content in t-shirts emblazoned with geeky phrases, she stands firm with her choices. Confident in her appearance. Nonchalant.
And a few weeks ago, the girl who hates shopping found a pair of shoes online that spoke to her and her personal style. We placed the order and when they arrived she anxiously awaited the opportunity to break them in.
The shoes she found? Lugz, of course. (Maybe because I constantly rave about my boots!) Specifically, she found a pair of women’s Seabrook shoes that scream to be paired with jeans and a t-shirt. They’re a canvas shoe with a simple (yet stylish) pattern. When I asked Madison to describe the shoes, she offered two simple words, “Comfy.” and “Stylish.”
I think she hit the nail on the head with her short (and accurate) assessment. As someone who owns more than a couple pair of Lugz boots, I can attest to the fact that they really are comfortable. I’ve yet to have a pair of Lugz footwear that isn’t. I know you can’t feel them on your feet, but don’t you agree that they have a trendy appearance without the look of everyone else?
It’s funny how we instill some things into our kids without even realizing it. You know the saying, “Like father, like daughter” right? Scott says the same thing about Lugz shoes being comfortable. Although he has a large collection of footwear, Scott always enjoys checking out the latest additions to the Lugz catalog. He recently added a pair of slip on shoes. Perhaps he “needed” these because it’s nice to mindlessly slip something besides slippers on. The Lugz Clippers are basic, but not generic. They work with jeans but he’ll also be able to wear them with shorts. It’s always good to have a footwear that serves multiple functions. Oh yeah… did I mention yet (again) they are comfy?
We continue to find Lugz footwear options that work for our family and encourage our readers to check out the Lugz catalog. They showcase their various products on their Instagram channel along with Twitter and Facebook. When you’re done falling head over heels for their products, enter to win your choice of either the Seabrook shoes that Madison selected or the Clipper casuals that Scott did!
