Today We Give Thanks
This is our first thanksgiving as empty nesters. We’ve accepted that we are no longer the focus of our daughters’ lives and have been trying to figure out that new normal. It’s a pretty odd concept since the last several years have been anything but normal anyhow. What we’ve realized is that we’re thankful for the time we do get with them.
One is working the weekend back on campus. We’re thankful we got a few days with her first and that she’s responsible enough to hold down a job while maintaining her grades. One is spending a lot of time with her boyfriend who attends a different school. We’re thankful for the time she decides to hang out with us.
We’re spending a lot of our time preparing holiday content including our gift guides and holiday giveaways. We’re thankful for you, our readers, who return here throughout the year. Year after year. We’re thankful for our sponsors who provide prizes for our reader giveaways and support our annual charity drive.
As we sit down to a table and enjoy time with our family, we’ll reflect on the things we are grateful for. And we hope you’ll sit down and enjoy a nice dinner then play something together, perhaps even Thanksgiving themed games.
Wishing all of you the happiest of Thanksgivings.
