If there’s one thing that frustrates me when making purchases, it’s excessive packaging. We find ways to be earth-friendly and recycle as much as possible. But I roll my eyes when I buy something only do discover that almost half of it is air. (I’m looking at you potato chips!) Sadly, it is often done for shelf presence. A little extra bag is negligible, but a board game that opts for a bigger box while lacking contents is just a waste of space on the game shelf. On the flip side of that, we appreciate companies like Ravensburger who create games like Penguin Pile-up and Ready, Set, Sloth! These games have a whole lot of game in a small box, sometimes utilizing the box as part of the game. This makes titles like this great for people who have limited space, ensuring room for additional games! Both of these games are geared toward kids 4+, so you’ll see them in our guide to gifts for young kids.
