There’s one thing that I’ve thoroughly enjoyed about the girls’ participation in music programs. It’s that my interests in music classics – both symphonic pieces as well as theatrical – has increased. I’ve always had an appreciation for music including taking a course in college that discussed composers such as Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Chopin, Copland, Wagner and the like. But it wasn’t until they started becoming serious about music did I start really seeking out more to listen to. It has been a long time since I attended a ballet or symphony – at least several years!
Growing up we used to attend the nutcracker each Christmas season. It has been quite a number of years where I was in the audience watching. I did dance in some as well but I do not do that any longer. So in answer it has been some time.

I haven’t been to the symphony in a long time. There is a symphony concert coming up next spring in my town that I definitely want to attend.

I went to a symphony performance this past summer.
We saw the Nutcracker a few years back!

I seen the nutcracker when I was in elementary school and I loved it. I taken my kids to a few symphony performances over the years but it’s been a couple of years since I’ve been.

Took my wife to the Nutcracker about 8 years ago and have been to a number of my daughter’s recitals in the last few years.
