Introducing SahmReviewsLive!

After nearly seven years of publishing stories from real moms using ideas and products in real-life situations, SahmReviews is both proud and sad to announce a major change, starting today.

Effective immediately you will no longer see stories and photo essays from our 17 (yes, seventeen) contributing authors. Gone are the quips, anecdotes and testimonials you’ve become accustomed to. But from the ashes of SahmReviews comes a new venture – one which is certainly the future of all online narratives. We introduce to you…

SahmReviewsLive

With SahmReviewsLIVE, no longer will you have to wait days or weeks to see what our authors are working on. We’ve equipped each and every single contributor with a live-feed HD camera (with audio). Watch live as products arrive, are unboxed and eventually run through the paces in each author’s proprietary reviewing techniques. You’ll also catch a (large) glimpse into the personal lives of the people behind the articles! Rest assured, all cameras have their IR features disabled, so this won’t be Cinemax After Dark.

Interface

Tune in right now to see what we’re broadcasting. Using the new live chat feature you can help us decide what we’re having for lunch, give your input on the latest games we’re testing and even tell us our socks don’t match! We hope you enjoy watching as much as we do creating! Check in and leave a comment below to let us know how we’re doing!

Interested in becoming a paid live correspondent? We provide everything you’ll need to start, including a new camera, broadband internet (fiber-to-home) and a welcome package of products just waiting to be reviewed. Submit your details here to start the process!

  1. April Fools, right? Ok, I clicked the link before finishing my comment…thanks for the info.

[Not too proud to admit you almost got me…ok, not almost. You got me.]

  2. Although I normally hate April Fools day with a passion, this was pretty cute as far as pranks go.

  3. I have been hearing all sort of April Fools Jokes this morning. I thought this might be one, but I did click on the link JUST in case! LOL Good one!

  4. This is great! What an exciting change and great for the users too. I love that you can tap into what they are doing virtually to get the full affect.

  5. LOL – see now I wanted to sign up as a contributor. We are rural so I would have loved to see you get high speed broad band to our area! Happy April Fools Day.

    1. We’re waiting for our city to roll out fiber optics. They dropped the lines down the main road (two blocks from our house) and are servicing new neighborhoods but haven’t connected to ours yet. I grew up in a rural area (where my folks still live) and I hate having no service there!

On a side note, we’re always seeking contributing authors so if you’re interested in writing for us, drop me an email.

  6. Good one! Haha!

That would be pretty interesting.. and I can only imagine if I did that.. stumbling to the computer half awake with crying kids in the background lol 🙂

    1. Oops. As one of my contributing authors, I probably should have sent you an email first thing this morning before the post went live. It would have detailed your “welcome to SahmReviewsLive” package contents. I missed the boat on that one. Shucks.

  7. Excellent prank!! Very funny! My anniversary is on April Fools and people always think I’m joking. I wake up with the expectation that nothing is going to be serious today..lol Great joke! oh yes, and Happy Birthday Nicole.

    1. LOL. Thanks, Lesley. Scott got me good today. As the first birthday wishes started arriving, I was frantically trying to figure out how to change my setting in Facebook. Didn’t know… until today… that Facebook only lets you change your birthday once then locks you out from changing it again for up to a few days. All the while, Scott is in the other room laughing. It’s nice to feel loved by all my friends who are leaving me Birthday Wishes though!

  8. I KNEW this had to be a prank. There’s no way you could put a live feed up of a blogger trying to meet a deadline. Not without an R rating for language, anyway. =D

  9. As I was surfing this morning. I half read what you wrote on facebook and said “congratulations” Yes, Totally fell hook line and sinker until I actually read this. Very clever. I never fall for April Fools Pranks but this is a great one 🙂

  10. That was a pretty neat prank! However, I’m a little disappointed. I wanted to sign up as a contributor and get the awesome welcome package 🙁 😉

  11. I though this new direction would be fun! I mean, I love telling people when their socks don’t match. But good luck on whatever’s next…for reals.

  12. Well only if dreams could come true lol. Wishful thinking because I could sure use a new camera to play around with. Happy belated April fools!
