HIGHLIGHTS: ChiTAG 2013 (Oversight)
Returning to the 2013 Chicago Toy & Game Fair was Griddly Games, makers of Oversight, Wise Alec, Words of the Wise and many others. Last year we received an autographed copy of Oversight directly from the President and Founder, Reisa Schwartzman, and it has quickly become one of our family’s favorite “Game Night” board games.
Some might describe this as tic-tac-toe on steroids. It is so much more and really requires some forward thinking and strategy. But, rather than trying to describe how it works, check out this great instructional video!
Designed for 2-4 players, we noticed that 2-player games go rather quickly (5-10 minutes), while 4-player scrimmages can easily last 30-45 minutes as you fight to prevent the other three people from finishing first. There is definitely some strategy required, so I’d recommend it for children 8+.
Be sure to check out Griddly’s Facebook and Twitter pages to keep on top of what they’re up to!
I love games of strategy. This one looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.
Oh gosh! This game looks like a lot of fun. And definitely one that my hubby would win at, lol.
I’ll have to keep a look out for this. My family enjoys family game night, and I am a fan of ones that require strategy.
my husband loves games, i will have to show him this
That looks like a ton of fun!! We always have more players than just 2 so it sounds like it could go on for awhile. We usually look for new games to play on the weekends. We’ll have to try this one out!
This game looks interesting. I’ll put it on the list of games I want 🙂
