Disclosure

A while back, I read on a friend’s blog that her house suffers from chaos. C.h.a.o.s. in her definition was “Can’t Have Anyone Over Syndrome.” Ever since then, whenever I look around my house and see destruction, that’s what I think of.

I’m not a fan of cleaning… more than once on my blogs I’ve explained that it’s Stay-At-Home-Mom, not Stay-At-Home-Maid. Yes, I clean but it just isn’t on the top of my list of things I feel like spending time doing.

When we moved back to Iowa two years ago, we started celebrating holidays with my family. Typically, that means going to my parents’ house. Well, my dad had knee surgery a few weeks ago, so I offered to host it at my house. You know what that meant? Cleaning.

Just so happened that I was sent a Libman Wonder Mop to review. Perfect timing, I tell you. I’ll also tell you that it worked really well…

When I do mop, it’s using the type of mop on the left in the picture. You dip it, use the handle to pull back and wring it out, mop then repeat. When you are done, you try to rinse it off or ditch it and put in a replacement. With the WonderMop, you dip it, then push the handle down and twist. The water comes out of the holes really well. When you are done, you remove the mop head and throw it in the washer. What a novel idea.

While I had difficulty with scrubbing really hard stains, everything else about the Wonder Mop was great. It got into the nooks and crevices around and under appliances. With the other mop, I couldn’t even get under the kick area of the cabinets, let along close under the front of the fridge. When using the Wonder Mop, I was also able to do double-duty and get the baseboards at the same time. That’s especially good since it meant that I could fly through the baseboards and get the gunk and dust and not have to go back and do them by hand… or worse yet, skip them like normal. Finally, I didn’t have to worry about any hard or metal pieces scratching the cabinets or base boards which was always a fear with the other ones I’ve used.. This is a great product and I’m glad I got a chance to test it out!

  1. I am not partaking in your giveaway..I just wanted to say last Saturday we had a cross training at work and I learned all about how you aren’t supposed to clean tv screens with just ANY cleaner and why that is. It was pretty interesting actually, so it was funny to come read this and see you had found a proper cleaner.

  2. my mop has about had it…so I could REALLY use that wonder mop! 🙂 I also couldnt live without my cook top cleaner!

    THANK YOU FOR THIS CHANCE!!!

  3. The eTronic wipes would find a good home here as would the Wright’s Silver Cream. The WonderMop would be a vast improvement over the old icky sponge mop I’ve been using too.

  4. Libman: I for sure need the Microfiber Floor Mop. I’m a janitor and my company uses them and I LOVE them, just didn’t know where to find them.

Weiman: I need the Glass Cook Top Cleaner…we just bought a ceramic top stove and need a good cleaner for it!

  5. I have the Libman angled broom and love it for getting into corners. I would like to try the Weiman Granite Corian Cleaner & Polish. My countertop has developed a dull finish.

From Weiman, I like the Lemon Oil wood polish with sunscreen to protect furniture from sunlight in the home. Never thought of that!

  9. Ceiling Fan Duster – with 5 ceiling fans I could use this item from Libman. I currently use a feather duster and stand on a step stool. We have a very high ceiling too. Weiman has a Fiberglass Cleaner for tubs that might be a good product to test out.

  10. I hadn't been introduced to these products before the giveaway, but I can tell you what SHOULD be necessities in my cleaning cabinet, because these look like great products! From Libman, I think the "no knees" floor scrub would be awesome to have, to get that deep clean without the deep muscle ache! lol!
From Weiman, the Squeeze & Clean Floor Cleaner would be perfect to help

  11. Weiman – Furniture cream. My husband used a cleaner on our kitchen table the hurt the finish. I think this product would help.

Libman – Definitely the tornado mop.

    Thanks, wiss329 at yahoo.com
