Holiday Giveaways 2020 – Sonora Game by Pandasaurus Games
My earliest memories of playing a “Roll & Write” game stem from my childhood and enjoying Yahtzee as a family. Over the past few years, we’ve seen a multitude of “Flip & Write” games come to market where you make decisions based on the cards that are revealed. If you’ve ever heard the phrase, “I was *today* years-old when I learned…” then you know how I feel about “Flick & Write” games. My first introduction to it was with Sonora from Pandasaurus Games. The family-friendly concept of flicking a piece then logging your results earned Sonora a spot on our list of family games. Flick it into your Amazon cart to have it in time for holiday gifting then click your way to winning a copy by entering the giveaway!
Mars Open is a great flick game
My favorite flip and write is Welcome To… I love all the expansions that make play different.
Hard to pick one – Welcome To or Cartographers top that list. Not sure if “Roll Through the Ages” counts or not, but that’s good as well.
Cool looking game.
Cartographers is my favorite roll (flip) and write. But I do love me some Welcome To also.
Not sure if I ever play this type of game before.
“Cartographers” is a great flip & write game, but Sonora looks interesting too!
Fleet: The Dice Game
Gonna go with Ganz Schon Clever, though I’ve only played the app
I don’t think I have played this type of game before.
Honestly haven’t played many… does Boggle count?
I don’t think I’m familiar with the genre, at least by name, but I’m always down to try new mechanics!

Cartographers is one of my favorites ever. Amazing flip and write. My wife’s favorite roll and write is Twice as Clever.
