We come across a lot of games each year. When you have such an interest in a hobby, you tend to try to learn as much as possible about the games, designers and publishers. When I first heard about Mariposas from AEG, I knew it was about butterflies. Absolutely. Butterflies are made favorite thing about having a garden.

I do not have a green thumb at all and struggle to keep even “easy” plants alive. But I would love to have plants that attract butterflies.
We don’t specifically plan the garden to attract butterflies, but we do include black-eyed susans and milkweed… just in case butterflies show up!

We don’t do that currently, but I heard that planting milkweed attracts monarch butterflies. And they are close to being put on the endangered species list. 🙁
