Fill The Stockings With Games and Toys Before Topping It Off With Candy
Who among us is willing to admit that stocking stuffers are often an afterthought; a last-minute candy-grab to meet the obligation of stuffing the actual stocking? We’re here to say that it doesn’t have to be like that. Yes, there were some years where we went straight for the candy aisle because we didn’t regularly purchase candy for the girls otherwise. Other times, we carefully curated small, inexpensive items while doing our other shopping. You can add one small game or toy like the examples featured here to give the stocking that “full” look then add candy, hair accessories, pencils, stickers, gift cards, lottery tickets (for adult children) or whatever to make it overflow! All the items on this list are small and perfect for exactly this task!
A few of the items have our logo. If you click on it, you’ll open a page that has a more detailed overview of the product along with our personal pictures. This should help you decide if it’s a product the owner of the stocking would enjoy. This is actually our final gift guide of 2020 so when you’re done looking this one over, be sure to check out all the others to help check more people off your shopping list. Purchase a party game so you’re ready the next time you are together with more people. Find games and toys for younger kids. Promote family bonding by purchasing family games, more family games or even some card and dice games. If you’re struggling with what to get the more mature people on your shopping list, check out our list of games for older kids and adults. Find something for the entire family in our guide to home and electronics. There are fun and educational gift ideas in our STEM gift guide. Of course, you cannot forget iconic brands like Coca-Cola, Harry Potter and Marvel. Those types of gifts can be found in our Pop Culture gift guide. If there’s one thing we’ve done, it’s that we’ve provided a lot of suggestions!

The Game: Quick & Easy
Just like in the award-winning original, in The Game: Quick & Easy everyone works together as a team to play as many cards as possible on two stacks. On your turn, play one or two cards then draw back up. On one stack, cards are played in ascending order (1-10). On the other stack, they are played in descending order (10-1). I think using your own creativity and put your own spin into it. Make it your stocking that won’t be like any other! Be sure to include your name!
I think finding some unusual gifts makes it fun when giving stocking stuffer gifts.
I’m afraid I don’t put as much thought into it as I should….
I like to put at least one book or game that they can learn from .
Best tip for creating a stocking – make sure it’s big enough to fit all the goodies!
Make sure you include chocolate.
Tips for making Stockings: have your mother make them.
I love including something that can peak out the top. This year was a beanie baby for her and stuffed toys for the pets. I think sometimes the stocking get forgotten about amongst the gifts!
Include a book, chocolate and a small game/toy
Great gift ideas. I really like the Rubik’s Christmas Tree. My best stocking tip is to include candies and chocolate.
i find stocking stuffers through out the year and wrap them as i find them. everyone is always surprised at what is in them!
When I fill my family’s stockings, I always try to have a mix of things. Something tasty, something pretty, something educational, something weird/fun! I also have a strange tradition that my husband gets a Christmas-themed lego minifig every year in his stocking!
I think personalizing everyones stockings to their likes really makes them special. I like to get similar things but make each different to what they like. My youngest daughter is obsessed with cats and needs Super Cats!
Lots of candy is the key!
I think a good stocking contains a game or toy, a book, some candy and some healthy snacks.
