There have already been tens of submissions from other designers, kickstarter backers and excited testers, some of which will be added to the website, clearly marked as being in early design, so that a community can build and people can eventually comment on all the designs and help each other make the best games for the system.

The first player to reach the toad king wins the game.

They are swept up and spun all around the fizzing foaming reef.
Can you use your magical bubble magnifying lenses to find your sea sprite friends, pick them out from the look-alikes, and bring them safely back to the hiding hole in your reef? Be careful… these slippery ghostfish can slip through your fingers. And you have to look carefully because they all look alike! How many can you find before the octopus stirs things up again?

To outshine your competition, you’ll need to expand your personal library by sending your trusty assistants out into the village to find the most impressive tomes. Sources for the finest books are scarce, so you’ll need to beat your opponents to them when they pop up – especially if they match your library’s secret focus!

You only have a few days before the Mayor’s Official Inspector comes to judge your library, so be sure your assistants have all your books shelved in time! She is a tough cookie, and will use her Official Inspection Form to grade your library on several criteria including alphabetical order, shelf stability, prominent works, and variety. And don’t think she’ll turn a blind eye to books the Council has banned! You’ll need shrewd planning, cunning tactics, and perhaps a little magic to surpass your opponents and become Grand Librarian!.

WizKids is excited to announce the upcoming 3-6 player board game, Approaching Dawn: The Witching Hour. In Approaching Dawn: The Witching Hour, players are coven members who are blood bound, meaning that what one witch does affects another member of the coven. Black magic begets corruption, which is given to other members; conversely, White magic can heal your own corruption. But both types of magic are used to bind and banish the demons, imps, fey, possessed animals, and warlocks entering our world. In this cooperative card game, each scene (mission) determines the goal of the game. If the scenes are played in order, they form a story arc, but you can play any scene in any order.

A hustle ends when you step onto a room card with a different colored symbol, but you pick up all the room cards with the same colored symbols you hustled through. These symbols are used to fulfill quests, fight off monsters — both of which earn you gold — and purchase trinkets, treasures and artifacts. You can use gold to increase your character level (up to the fourth level) for more special abilities. Be the player with the most VP to win the game — but don’t let too many monsters escape or you all lose!

  1. I think I would really like to try Nanofictionary. I love games that really stretch the imagination. It looks like a great languange building game – and games that encourage story telling in front of others may prepare kids for public speaking.

  2. You’ve got me wanting the Harry Potter games now! I’ve just started re-reading the books and I can feel an obsession with all things Hogwarts coming on 😀

    Louise x

  3. Pictopia Harry Potter looks awesome! I definitely need to add that to my collection. These all look like great games.
