Happy Birthday to All of Us

Seven years ago I wrote a post that wrapped with the following line:

“Guess we’ll see where this takes us.”

For a few years I had been pouring my thoughts and feelings into my personal blog, but things were changing. I was spending a lot of time testing out products, working on Word of Mouth campaigns and sharing my opinions across a variety of sites. At the time, I felt the need to create a second blog as a destination for my opinions on the products I was trying out instead of having them all helter-skelter across the internet.

SahmReviews.com was born.

I mentioned that one of my favorite reviews was a Beta test of an HP printer. Here we are seven years later and I’m now a member of the HP Smart Mom Panel. It’s just one of several ambassador programs that I’m working with both on SahmReviews as well as off. Never would I have guessed that my opinions would have THAT much impact.

I mentioned that BzzAgent was my favorite program. While I still participate in their campaigns on occasion, there have been many newer programs that have allowed me to grow both personally and professionally. Never thought there would be anything better than BzzAgent!

I mentioned that I could give away some stuff if I had it. Boy have I ever. An iPhone, a Bassett Furniture HGTV Home Jesse chair, lots of toys and games, electronics, tickets to a variety of types of entertainment, gift cards, a Netflix subscription, food, beauty products and so much more. It has been a blessing to be able to offer these great promotions to all of you. Never would I have dreamed I would be able to give away such cool prizes.

In the past seven years, we’ve added 16 additional authors giving us the ability to feature content including travel, movies, games, food, electronics and more. Never would I have thought there would be so many people wanting to write for us!

Never would I have guessed that this is where we would be seven years later. As I remove the word “never” from possibilities that may come, I wonder where the future will take all of us.
