HIGHLIGHTS: ChiTAG 2013 (Marusenko Sphere)
We LOVE puzzle games. My brother and I grew up in the era of Rubik’s Cube and we both have always enjoyed trying out harder and harder ones. At the Chicago Toy & Game Expo this year I came across something I had never seen before – the Marusenko Sphere.
We were given a sample of what they called their “Level 1” sphere to try out. I have to say, the quality of manufacturing is far superior to any cube puzzle you can find today. Made in Spain by Marusenko and imported by Lion Rampant Imports, this is a fun little stress reliever that won’t frustrate you by being too difficult to solve without a ‘cheat’.
What makes this puzzle unique is your goal can be different every time. Sometimes you may try to get it all mixed up evenly.
Next time you can try a large plaid pattern.
Or even a half-n-half.
All of these only take a few minutes to create on this Level 1 version. Marusenko has created 5 different levels of complexity depending on your skill level.
You can learn more about the Marusenko sphere from their Facebook page or by visiting their website. Of course, if you speak English, then check out their distributor Lion Rampant Imports (also on Facebook and Twitter)! Ready to pick one up for your family? Many different colors and levels are available now on Amazon with Prime Shipping!
We love puzzles here at home and this is something that my kids would love. We have a rubik’s cube as well.
I suck at rubik’s cube. I can’t solve one without a cheat sheet. LOL!
Anyway, the Marusenko Sphere looks promising. Will check this one out.
it must be like a genius when you can solve a cubic as i find it really hard to work the puzzle to finished the whole thing.
That’s pretty cool. It’s like Rubik’s cube.:) I think my husband will like that.
Oh… so you can make all kinds of designs with this little sphere. How cool is that. LOL It would stress me out… but my Hubs relaxes when he does puzzles like this.
I think that not only would my kids love this, but my husband would, too. It sounds like a lot of fun!
Sounds like a fun puzzle and stress reliever! I could really use one, and they are easy to take around in the handbag too!
I know when I’ve met my match. Eeek, I’m so bad at these little puzzles. It doesn’t stop me from trying though.
Oh I do like that. Looks like a blast.
I love that you have to use skill and intellect to figure this out. It’s educational at the same time.
