New Game Re-Release – Yokohama Duel

Synapses Games has re-issued Yokohama Duel, a two-player edition of their popular game, Yokohama, into retail recently.

It is the beginning of the Meiji era. Once a sleepy fishing village, Yokohama has now developed into one of Japan’s busiest trade centers. Behind this stood two prominent merchants, you and your opponent.

You will need to fulfill various goals, which involve amassing copper, silk, tea, and fish; mastering foreign technology; and building shops and trading houses. Employ foreign agents to aid your cause.

Your hard work and shrewd strategies are the keys to the prosperity of Yokohama! To achieve these goals, you need to move about the streets of Yokohama and gain benefits from the various districts. It’s much more compact than its original counterpart Yokohama, offering a wealth of content and new artwork to be explored in shorter sessions.

Yokohama Duel is for two players, ages fourteen and up, and plays in around forty-five minutes. It retails for $24.99.
