New Game Release – Pentris
Pendragon Game Studio has released Pentris, a real-time puzzle game, into retail recently.
Colorful candy tiles fall down filling up the space on vertical player boards, just like Tetris. Throughout the gameplay, each player does what they can to get the biggest and most valuable groups of sweet treats, and thus gain the most points. Yes, you guessed right – whoever has the most points is the winner!
This is a family-friendly game about placing pieces on their individual vertical board. However, since the pieces are falling from top to bottom, it is not as simple as one might think. By proper placement of the tiles, players create groups of different candies, gain additional bonuses, and earn extra pieces. If you do not manage to fulfill your plan from the very beginning, do not worry! The game has several rounds, and you start them with a new space that you need to fill up with your pieces!
Pentris is for two to four players, ages eight and up, and plays in around thirty minutes. It retails for $34.99.
