Protect your new tablet with a case and screen protector! - SahmReviews.com

Last Saturday was the annual girls’ cookie baking day with Grandma. My mom sets aside an entire day to make about a dozen different kinds of holiday confections with her three granddaughters. Some are family recipes that she has been making for years, others are ones she discovered recently but wanted to try. This year she even made a recipe that her aunt used to make when my mom was just a young girl.

My daughters were joined by my high-school aged niece. She recently got a new phone and I couldn’t help but notice that it lacked any kind of protective gear. I understand that everyone has their preference for cases, but to not have anything on a new phone completely threw me for a loop. When I asked her why, she said, “I don’t like cases. They’re too bulky.”

That would explain why it isn’t uncommon to find cracked screens when I go to family gatherings. They don’t listen to me telling them that intelliGLASS to cover the screen is a simple solution. Damaged screens are the norm for them. It got me thinking about how that the holidays are a prime time for people to add a tablet or phone to their electronic arsenal. These high-tech units for all ages come with a sturdy price tag. I started wondering how many people consider the importance of protecting their investment.

In addition to purchasing a quality case, adding an IntelliGLASS product will provide security for the screen. After spending hundreds of dollars on a tablet, it only makes sense to spend a few extra to know that it will be protected from cracks. An added bonus is that it cuts down on finger prints and screen glare as well. If you’re one of those people who get frustrated by non-stop fingerprints on your device, IntelliGLASS will give you some peace of mind.

As we have explained when we told you about the phone covers, the process of applying IntelliGLASS products is very easy. The kit comes with everything you need, which isn’t very much. A cleansing cloth and wipe, a sticky sheet to remove static and the IntelliGLASS cover.

The main thing to remember is to clean the screen thoroughly before you begin and remove the fingerprints with the wipe then any pieces of particles with the included sticky sheet. While it might not seem like that big of a deal if you miss some dust, the cover will entrap it. We made that mistake once. Once.

When you have completed the steps to properly clean the screen, the only thing left to do is lineup the IntelliGLASS. If you miss the first time, you can try to readjust it. It’s literally as easy as those few steps!

The current cost of the product on Amazon is under $20. That’s a small price to pay to know you are protecting the tablet you just invested in.  I encourage you to purchase one for your tablets and if your phone doesn’t have one yet either, grab one for that too.

  1. Screen protection is something some people don’t think about until it’s too late! This sounds like a great product for protecting all our expensive “toys.” I’ll definitely check out their line for our family.

  2. This is pretty nifty. I don’t like bulkiness added to my phone either, but regardless I still use one. We have one of these screen protectors on our son’s iPad, though. It already suffered a crack in the screen and we couldn’t bear to have him add another. The screen has been going strong since we added the protector.

  3. I’m all for protecting the technology. Those purchases are never cheap. And you’re right, my teen’s friends often have cracked screens!

  4. I don’t have an iPad but this would be a great product to protect the screen, especially when kids use it or someone like me who accidentally puts fingers on screens often.

  5. Woah! I’m really digging the template/theme of this blog. It’s simple, yet effective. A lot of times it’s tough to get that “perfect balance” between usability and appearance. I must say you have done a great job with this. Additionally, the blog loads super fast for me on Firefox. Exceptional Blog!
