“Thrilled” by These December 2025 Movie Releases

Anaconda, Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair and The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants are three of the movies releasing in theaters in December 2025 - SahmReviews.com

You know it is almost December, right? Then how is it that so many movies this month think it is October. Thriller-this. Horror-that. It’s crazy!! As much as I love a good thriller or suspense, I’m actually most excited about Ella McCay. I’ve been seeing trailers in the theater for a couple of months, and I giggle every time. That’s the mark of a good movie… when you laugh even though you know the punchline. It’s actually one of several comedies that are rounding out the lineup. Surprisingly, despite the award-winning Avatar series offering up another installment, I’m just not revved up. Most of that boils down to the fact that they didn’t reach me with any marketing. I don’t recall seeing previews before other movies, social media ads or even hearing anyone talk about it. We’ll probably see it, but it’s just not on the top of my list. Check out the information I gathered for the movies releasing in December and see if anything strikes your interest.

Despite my criticisms about the lack of variety, I am actually plenty happy. Any time we’re able to have quality time, whether that means playing board games, traveling or going to a movie, I am perfectly content. As we wrap up 2025, I hope you’ll find joy and thanks in things like this as well.
