New Game Release – Evergreen: Pines and Cacti

Horrible Guild has released Evergreen: Pines and Cacti, an expansion to the extremely popular Evergreen, into retail.
This expansion for Evergreen contains a set of two modular expansions introducing 2 new kinds of plants that interact with light and shadow in interesting ways: Pines and Cacti! Discover new forest-planning strategies to get the most points out of them!
Small Pines really long for the kiss of sunlight, so they spontaneously grow into Big Pines when they are in shadow at the end of a Season. Cacti can grow very fast, but they need a lot of Light to survive. Make sure they are not in shadow at the end of a Season or they will die!
Evergreen is a tree-growing strategy game for 1-4 players where your goal is to build a lush ecosystem by planting sprouts, growing trees, and placing other natural elements on your planet, trying to make it the greenest and most fertile of all. Choose a biome card from the common pool to determine which area of your planet you’ll develop each round. The cards not chosen make the corresponding regions more fertile, and thus more valuable. To create a huge forest, you want to grow trees, plant bushes, and place lakes, while using the power of nature to gain extra actions.
Concentrate your trees in the most fertile areas, but prevent them from overshadowing one another as you also want them to collect as much light as possible. Evergreen supports Trees for the Future for a sustainable use of resources!
Evergreen: Pines and Cacti is for one to four players, ages eight and up, and plays in forty-five to sisty minutes. It retails for $18.00.
Horrible Guild also previously released Railroad Ink: Deep Blue (see “Railroad Ink: Deep Blue board game“).
