This time of year is very different for us than it used to be. With the girls off at college, we don’t have the same mad rush to be at school performances, sports or other kid-related activities. The relative quiet is a harsh reminder that the days of scooping them up into the van and heading to a movie or other family bonding activity are long gone. So when I recommend that you find time to add a movie to your holiday schedule, I say it with heart. Not every movie is fit for family viewing, but spending time with friends is equally as important.
