Considering that I write every day, you would think my skills in word games would be awesome. You would think. My family and gaming friends know that’s not the case. While I enjoy word games, unraveling a word that garners a lot of points isn’t one of my strengths. I’m always looking for some kind of edge and Word Rush from Tactic Games delivers. Instead of trying to create long words, players simply have to come up with a word that starts with one of the letters on the board AND matches the category available. The catch is the timer. It’s flipped whenever someone answers so the quicker you throw out a word, the less time the person after you gets! We included Word Rush on a list of games for families this past holiday season and the sponsor has one set aside for one of our readers as the latest prize in this year’s 150+ Days of Giveaways!

  1. “Do you prefer slow and methodical word games or do you thrive when quick thinking is required?” It depends on the game!

  2. Somewhere in between. It’s fun to be able to spend the time to think of more exotic, longer words rather than rushing.

  3. Definitely methodical word games. My husband is the opposite with the quick thinking but we make a great team honestly and kill it at things like jeopardy, unless we play drunk jeopardy lol.

  4. I like them both! But if i’m Not feeling 100% or my game brain is off, I prefer it slower. To me, the objective is to just have fun! So however we can all have fun is the way I want to play
