There are a number of ways you can go about building a city. You can build a real one or one with bricks and blocks, but we’ve decided the easiest (and cheapest) is to do it with a game. We’ve shared details of several games from Tasty Minstrel Games, including a couple about city building. We told you about Flip City card game (back in 2015) and Samara (in this year’s guide to games for older kids). We’re off and building and you will be too if you win Samara, our Mega Giveaway Day 51 prize!

  1. If I built a city the one business I would insist it included is a grass roots department store. The store would be similar to a Walmart but not consist of the corporate identity that Walmart revolves around. The store would carry everything of necessity that you could possibly think of and the store would be for the humanity of the community and not the capitalistic union as we know it!

  2. Was trying to find a place to comment.
Entering for the boy doll. Would love to win for my great nephew. My Boys had a doll named My Buddy when they were little.
    Merry Christmas

  3. A Walmart Superstore – it would have almost all a person’s needs! Food for humans & animals, car maintenance & products, lawn care products, prescriptions, clothes, toys, DVDs, Music, personal needs, paper products, juice, milk, soda, gum, sweets, etc. It’s a one stop shop!

  4. If I built a city, one business I must have is a comics and game shop. It’s good for the community and keeps the kids busy!
