Happy Thanksgiving! Whether you’re hanging out waiting for the turkey to be ready or in a post-turkey food coma, we hope you’re enjoying the day with the people you care about. We know it’s easy to just grab your device and chill, but you know what is even better than that at a holiday gathering? Playing games with the other people there. Try a party game to help ward off awkward conversations or a family game to engage kids and adults. If there are just a few of you, try a 2-player game like Tak from James Ernest Games. Don’t have that one? What a coincidence! It happens to be our Day 23 prize in this year’s 150+ Days of Giveaways!

See what other affordable games they offer then enter to win this decorative abstract game to display in your home. Remember to return each day through the duration of the giveaway to take advantage of additional daily entry options.

  1. Yes, I would use games as a functional decoration…I’ve had a beautiful chinese checkers game on an end
table in our living room since 1999.

  2. Too much nick knacks and clutter so it would be counter productive. Wish I could get rid of all of junk so that this would be possible.

  3. Lack of space and a puppy prevent me from displaying games on tables, but I’m considering gluing the Tao Long pieces to the board and hanging that up as wall art if I can’t get anyone to play it with me.

  4. Definitely! We’re moving to a new house soon and I will actually have room to display some things like this. Now, I’m sure my cats wouldn’t leave it alone… But I’d love to leave it out.

  5. Yes, although with little kids and a dog common areas do not work great. I think certain games can be great set out in a kids room. We are working to finish our basement and I could see a space with a game or two commonly left out that had a nice classic look to it.

  6. Does it count as a decoration if I leave it out on the dining room table and don’t put it away like I’m supposed to?

  7. Yes I would use games as functional decorations in my home. As a matter of fact I have a full size chess board coffee table in my living room!
