At many conferences I have attended, they’ve allowed some time at the end for Q&A. It takes a lot of self-confidence to stand up in front of the audience and ask a question. A few weekends ago, my girls raced to the front for a chance to stand in front of a microphone and toss a question out to the presenter at C2E2. This wasn’t just any speaker though, it was super-hero creator, Stan Lee.

Even at the young age of 11 and 9, my girls are no strangers to who he is. They can pick him out of a crowd and watch for his noteworthy cameos in every one of his movies. For about the past year, we’ve been soaking up everything super hero we can. We have seen every super hero movie in order and sit down as a family to watch Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. weekly. Not only that, but we discuss the nuances of the different shows, movies, plot and character lines. We are midway through X-Men: First Class and are preparing for the May 23rd release of X-Men Days of Future Past. My kids are excited about it almost as much as I am! I cannot tell you how cool it is to be able to discuss who has what abilities, who is a good guy, who isn’t and more. Here’s one of the previews in case you hadn’t caught it yet!

If you can’t wait for the movie’s release, then visit a Walgreens near you for an exclusive X-Men Days of Future Past Axe® gift pack with a FREE movie poster inside! Enter your zip code into the store locator below to find a Walgreens near you.

  1. The X-Men movie should be pretty decent – I’m glad to see that people are liking it just as much as I am. Thanks for the walgreens information! I’ll be sure to check it out!

  2. Too bad Fox owns the rights to the X-Men movies. I’d love to see them in the universe that Marvel/Disney is building.
